Discovering your destiny in Christ!

Making a decision to give your life to Jesus is the most important decision you can ever make. We hope you will continue to explore your journey of faith. Below are some tips to help you along the way.  Consider becoming a part of our church family. The messages on the weekends will help you connect the dots.

Pray Daily
Prayer is talking to Jesus just like you’d talk to your closest friend. Find a place where you can be alone and talk to Him. Express how you feel, what’s in your heart and ask Him for help. You can also receive personal prayer.  If you’d like to give your life to Jesus here is a simple way to begin.

Be willing to turn from all that you know to be wrong or selfish.
ASK Jesus to forgive you and invite Him to come into your life.
Offer Him all that you are and all that you will become.

You can begin by saying, “Well God, here I am. I am sorry for what I have done. I turn toward you. I ask You to forgive me. I invite You to come into my life. I now yield my life to You. Help me to follow You all my days.”

Read the Bible daily.
The most important page is the table of contents it helps you find your way around the Bible. Start reading in the New Testament. The book of John is a great place to begin. Think about what you are reading and jot down some of your thoughts or questions in the margins.

Consider and enquire about being baptized.

Being baptized signifies a decision to follow Jesus and being determined to pursue a new life.

Hang out with people who believe. There are many small groups you can join and be a part of. Ask our Pastor or someone at church how to get involved.

Tell your friends about your journey towards faith in Christ.  You’d be surprised how many people will encourage you along the way.

Ask questions.
There are many people you can connect with at DCFC.  Seek to find a place to serve.

Following Jesus is a journey of discovery. We are always learning more about Him and discovering and developing our gifts to benefit others.
